4 Possible Return Fights For Conor Mcgregor!
2 min readNov 25, 2022
In the August of 2021, Conor Mcgregor, who is undoubtedly the biggest name in the world of MMA broke his leg in the ring after a controversial fight with Dustin Poirier and has been out of the game ever since. Fans have been waiting for his return ever since. It was earlier believed that Mcgregor would make a comeback by the end of 2022, but now, a spring 2023 return is being targeted! Here are 4 fighters that can end up fighting the king of UFC!
- Tony Ferguson — Ferguson is one of the most loved guys in MMA. He once had a winning streak of 8 years, but ever since the loss to Justin Gaithje, he has been losing all fights recently. His recent loss came at the hands of Nate Diaz, who was the first one to submit Ferguson. Tony vs Conor sounds like a good matchup. Tony gets a big paycheck, and it can be his grand retirement fight, while Conor gets the much-needed push he needs.
- Dan Hooker — No one can deny that Dan Hooker is an exciting fighter. He too was on a losing streak but has come back with a recent win in the last UFC PPV. He is not scared to get hit, and his fights are really exciting. That sounds like a good match-up for Conor, right? Again, both fighters have not been in amazing form, and this fight would definitely be an exciting match to watch.
- Justin Gaithje — Justin is one of the most aggressive fighters in the lightweight division of UFC. He strikes like a truck, and his leg kicks are painful to even watch. This will surely be the toughest matchup of Mcgregor out of the four on this list. I also think that Giathje vs Conor would bring in the most PPV buys. Good for business, good for the fighters!
- Michael Chandler — Iron Mike open called out Mcgregor after his win against Ferguson, and he got the world of MMA excited! No fan is left unentertained when Chandler walks into the ring. Also, he called out Conor in the 170 pounds weight category, which sounds like the perfect weight class for his return of Conor!
