A round-up of everything (that I’m excited about) that’s coming to the streaming website next month

Looks like this time it’s going to be a busy month with blockbuster movies and Netflix originals.

The Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness

Now that Mindhunter has been scrapped (I’m still upset), where else can one get a juicy new true crime inspired show? Author Maury Terry becomes convinced that serial killer David Berkowitz did not act alone and tries to prove that the web of darkness behind the Son of Sam murders goes deeper than anyone imagined and his investigation costs him everything.

Money, Explained (May 11th)

I can honestly never get enough of Vox’s videos. After tackling the mind, sex, and the coronavirus, Vox returns with another Explained documentary series. This time, they’re taking a deep dive on the world of finance, explaining everything you didn’t already know (or you thought you knew) about money.

Haunted (Season 3) (May 14th)

Blurs the line between reality and fiction, methinks. Netflix’s chilling true-horror series returns for a spooky third season. People who claim to have experienced supernatural events, such as ghosts, poltergeists, and monsters, tell what happened to them in their own words.

Love, Death, & Robots (Season 2) (May 14th)

I personally loved watching this. Get ready for another batch of creative, animated shorts. Just like season 1, each standalone episode is the work of a different director and tells a different short sci-fi story.

The Woman in the Window (May 14th)

Granted I still am halfway through the book, but I’m nonetheless excited because, duh, Amy Adams! The story is about agoraphobic (fear of the outdoors) Dr. Anna Fox witnesses something she shouldn’t while keeping tabs on the Russell family, the seemingly picture perfect clan that lives across the way.
