The much-anticipated trailer of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is at last here. It is the first of the set of three coordinated films by Ayan Mukherji. The movie was gotten underway 10 years back when the Wake-up Sid’s chief had the idea about this dream folklore. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy, and Shahrukh Khan, who has an expanded appearance in the film.

The video starts with Amitabh Bachchan talking about the different ‘astras’ — water, fire, wind — that comprise the ‘brahmastra’. Slice to Ranbir otherwise known as Shiva is a young man who is unmindful of the powers that dwell in him. He meets Isha (Alia Bhatt) and they go gaga for one another. We then see the insidious powers hold hands to overcome Shiva. The trailer offers us a looks at Mouni Roy, Amitabh, and Nagarjuna’s characters.

According to Ayan Mukherjee, the movie is not a superhero flick, but fantasy fiction. It’s about a fanciful legend, Shiva. From the trailer, it seems to be the extraordinary romantic tale between Shiva and Isha will be critical to the story. The entertainers, who began dating when they started going for the film, will be seen together interestingly on-screen since their marriage.

Amitabh Bachchan plays Guru, Shiva’s coach, and his presence and voice do the enchantment and takes the promotions up a couple of scores. Nagarjuna Akkineni plays craftsman Anish and Mouni plays Junoon. Junoon surely stands apart with her red eyes, and this Queen of obscurity is one of the miscreants.

The VFX looks excellent, and this is the best attempt of Bollywood in creating a realistic VFX world. The background music also sounds amazing, and the already-popular Kesariya song can be heard in the background. We might have just witnessed a small glimpse of Shahrukh Khan, as there is a tiny scene where a person is standing holding a trident, and although his face is not visible, fans are saying it is Shahrukh Khan.

The acting performance of Ranbir and Alia seems promising from whatever we have seen. Brahmastra has the potential to become India’s biggest movie ever, and is Bollywood’s last chance at redeeming itself. I cannot wait for September, can you?
