Bollywood has reached its peak of irony. Think about this, a movie that surrounds a plot of a serial killer killing film critics who post biased reviews about movies and take money for paid promotions, releases in the box office and starts off to a plethora of bad reviews. What do the creators do? Easy, they pay meme pages and critics to give this movie five stars.

Such is the story of the new movie release, Chup. This movie anticipated the epic comeback of one of the biggest Bollywood stars of the 90s, Sunny Deol. I knew from the very starting that paid reviews are the new trend in Bollywood, so I stepped into the theatres today morning to watch this movie myself.

This movie was one of the worst releases of this year. It had absolutely no storyline, and the dialogues were pretty cringe. The movie had only one good thing, and that was decent acting by Sunny Deol. Every thing else about this movie was totally unwatchable. I came home, and I opened Google, to search about the reviews of this movie. What do I find out? The movie has been getting five-star reviews. Something that even The Kashmir files did not get, and I was amazed seeing such a disguisting act being committed by some movie makers..

This movies plot, as I said, revolves around a murder mystery, where a serial killer is taking out biased film reviewers. The plot sounds awkward right, wait till you see the first 10 minutes of this movie. I do not have a problem with Bollywood, and an interesting fact, that I love Bollywood even after it has been surrounded by so many controversies. I love the recent Brahmastra release, although I do not think it is a masterpiece, but I think it is a great movie. I love every think about Bollywood, but the only problem is the lack of efforts that have been put into movies like Chup.

These creators are ruining the name of Bollywood. Because of these silly incidences, good and high-quality movies are often boycotted, as they are also thought to be good only in the pages of paid reviewers. I hope these few selected Bollywood residents understand this, and they do not do such stupid things to destroy the image of Indian cinema.
