They may look like twins but there are some key differences

Both the Dimensity chipsets are part of MediaTek’s flagship range and share a lot of similarities. The Dimensity 1200 and 1100 pack a highly integrated 5G modem with MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave technology for big power savings. Both the processors integrate 5G HSR Mode and 5G Elevator Mode enhancements to ensure a seamless, reliable 5G connection across networks.

They also have their differences when it comes to certain specifications. While the Dimensity 1200 supports an ultra-fast 168Hz refresh rate, the Dimensity 1100 supports cutting-edge displays with 144Hz refresh rates which give uber sharp visuals with zero lags. The Dimensity 1200 has an octa-core CPU which is designed with an ultra-core ARM Cortex-A78 which clocked up to 3GHz for extreme performance, three ARM Cortex-A78 super cores, and four ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. On the other hand, The Dimensity 1100 is designed with an octa-core CPU that includes four ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz and four ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, along with a nine-core ARM Mali-G77 GPU.

The Dimensity 1100 may have been a bit overshadowed by its fraternal twin, the Dimensity 1200, but it also shares a lot of similar features. You get a similar blend of Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A75 cores, but in a 4+4 configuration as compared to Dimensity 1200’s 1+3+4 configuration. Except for a few minor changes in a few places, the Dimensity 1100 is pretty similar to the 1200. The Dimensity 1100 supports FHD+ displays clocked at 144Hz and its ISP can handle inputs from a single 108MP sensor. The Dimensity 1100 is 5G-ready and also supports other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.
