Dimensity 9200 — Specs & Features!
The Dimensity 9200, MediaTek’s most recent 5G chipset, was unveiled yesterday and will power the newest flagship gadgets. The new SoC promises outstanding performance and clever power management, as well as great gaming experiences, ultra-sharp image capture, support for both mmWave 5G and sub-6GHz connection, and support for both.
Its Arm Immortalis-G715 GPU features a hardware-based ray tracing engine, and the Dimensity 9200 is the first smartphone CPU to include an Arm Cortex X3 with speeds above 3GHz. The Arm Cortex-X3 at 3.05GHz, the Arm Cortex-A715 at 2.85GHz, and the Arm Cortex-A510 at 1.8GHz are all designed to maximise power efficiency in conjunction with MediaTek’s high-end thermal package design, which keeps phones cool.
Display — Dimensity 9200 offers Full HD+ up to 240Hz, WHQD up to 144Hz, and 5K (2.5Kx2) up to 60Hz and uses variable refresh rate technology for a fluid user experience. With scene-specific multi-layer colour management and multiple-person segmentation, the screen specifications improve image quality.
Gaming — The chipset also has MediaTek’s HyperEngine 6.0 Gaming Technology, which offers quick, fluid action that allows users to fully immerse themselves in any scenario. The chipset’s MediaTek MiraVision 890 display performs a great job of allowing high-performance gaming screens, spectacular quality, and expanded foldable designs.
Camera — The Imagiq 890 image signal processor in the chipset delivers intriguing capturing, whether users are in low light, brilliant light, or everywhere in between. The Dimensity 9200’s first native support for RGBW sensors, which can save up to 34% more power than rival technology, allows smartphones operating on it to bypass Bayer conversion. In order to capture video, the chipset’s APU and ISP are combined by the video stream engine. This allows hardware designers to implement unique AI-video breakthroughs that are significantly quicker and more power-efficient.
Memory — The Dimensity 9200 SoC supports LPDDR5X memory speeds of up to 8533Mbps. This CPU offers the quickest smartphone memory. It also includes a UFS 4.0 with Multi-Circular Queue (MCQ) and provides each Cortex-A510 CPU core with direct storage access, which significantly improves data transmission in multi-thread applications.
Others — One of the sixth-generation AI Processing Unit (APU 690) enhancements of the chipset is that it performs up to 35% better in the ETHZ5.0 test than the fifth-generation APU. In accordance with the user’s current needs, the dual antenna technology of the chipset also dynamically switches between ultra-low power and high-performance antennas.
The Mediatek Dimensity 9200 processor will likely power the best smartphones in the future, according to all these features and specs. Smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9200 will be available to buy by the end of 2022.
