According to me, it was about time that Xiaomi had added an affordable 5G smartphone to its portfolio, given that most of its devices till 25K (except Mi 10i) only support 4G networks, while the competition has shifted its strategy to 5G.

The Redmi Note 10T 5G solves that purpose by offering an option under 15K. It comes with commendable specs like the battery power, the display, powerful chipset and the cameras. Good value for the money you spend on it.

In terms of display, the Redmi Note 10T 5G comes with a 6.50-inches 90Hz LCD with 400 nits of brightness. There won’t be any problem while watching movies online as the phone has Widevine L1 support.

It has 48MP primary sensor, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor while there is an 8MP selfie shooter. The rear and front camera can shoot videos up to 1080p@30fps. Interestingly, Xiaomi has ditched the ultra-wide angle lens here which is a good thing.

The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G and it’s running on MIUI 12-based on Android 11. The phone does have ads in the UI and it comes with lots of pre-installed apps but they can be uninstalled.

The one thing I noticed is battery life. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC is a battery efficient processor. Also, there won’t be any problem while playing games or doing any kind of task, the SoC can handle everything.

The thing is, the Redmi Note 10T 5G falls under the mid-range segment category and has a similar performance as the Poco M3 Pro 5G since it uses the same SoC with up to 6GB RAM option.

Software wise, the Redmi Note 10T 5G runs MIUI 12.0.3 global instead of MIUI 12.5 which has a nice and clean UI.

For someone who wants a nice phone for everyday use and which has gaming capabilities + 5G connectivity in it, this one is a good choice imo.
