First Impressions: Samsung Galaxy A12
Another addition to India’s growing list of affordable smartphones
The Galaxy A12 has finally graced the Indian market this year after being launched in Europe in November 2020. It seems to me that Samsung has kept in mind the features and priced it accordingly. If you compare it to the Galaxy A11, it has some notable changes and improvements in terms of camera, battery, memory, and processor.
In terms of processor, it comes with the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset which admittedly could have been upgraded to the G80 but is nonetheless better than the SD 450 that the previous model, the Galaxy A11 came with.
Here are some of the specs of the Samsung Galaxy A12:
- Display: It comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
- Processor: It comes equipped with the MediaTek Helio P35 processor which comes with four 1.8GHz cores and four 23GHz cores.
- It comes with 4GB of RAM.
- It runs on Android 10.
- It comes with a huge 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging.
- The rear camera has a 48MP lens, a 5MP ultrawide, a 2MP depth sensor, and another 2MP macro lens. The selfie camera comes with 8MP.
- You get an internal storage of 64GB which is expandable via a MicroSD card up to a whopping 1000GB.
- It comes with dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) support and accepts Nano-SIM as well.
- The Galaxy A12 measures 164.00 x 75.80 x 8.90mm and weighs 205.00 grams.
- It was launched in Black, Blue, and White colours.
For the price of Rs.12,999, I think this is a good option if you are on a budget and want to buy a trustworthy smartphone that will last you a few years.
