Can this new Oppo smartphone beat the competition?

The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is a great entrant into the Oppo Reno lineup. I think it brings incredible design and a really well-rounded experience to the user. It even beats the Xiaomi Mi 11 in terms of its overall offerings in 2021. The first time I picked up the device in my hands, I was struck by how slim it truly is. Its silver galactic back is beautiful to behold and is by far the most gorgeous phone back I’ve seen on any phone this year. The precisely cut camera bump at the back of the phone feels really premium.

Did you know that the top and the bottom of the phone are not made of aluminum? Yeah, I was surprised too because they’ve done such a fine job of mimicking metal using faux plastic. This also helps reduce the weight of the device, making it quite comfortable to hold for long periods of time. With a slight curve to the 6.55-inch AMOLED 90Hz display, you’re gonna have a great time watching content or playing games on this Oppo Reno 5 Pro.

Talking of the performance, we have the Dimensity 1000+ processor which delivers terrific flagship-level performance. In this smartphone, you get 12 gigs of RAM and 256 gigs of storage. I guarantee that you will not face any stutters or lags because this chipset is very well optimized to this phone and gels very well in all aspects be it gaming, taking HD photos and videos, or literally anything else. This is a very fast and zippy device.

The performance has been pretty solid even when I played heavy-duty games like COD on it even with the highest settings. The phone barely heats up too much which is a plus in a gaming device with a gaming chipset. In this case the plastic edges actually help in keeping the phone cool and not make the experience uncomfortable. In terms of battery, you have a 4,350 mAh capacity with 65W super-fast charging support which allows you to go 0–100% in just 30 minutes! How amazing is that?

In terms of the camera, it’s got a quad-camera setup as we all know, with a 64MP primary camera that takes really good photos be it in the daylight or in low-light situations. The video capabilities of this phone are a lot of fun, be it the AI Highlight Video, Dual Video mode, and more. It really is an all-in-one smartphone and I really like how it touches base on all the aspects of a smartphone that make it premium and flagship-level.

In short, the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G has a gorgeous design and an excellent camera setup and I heartily recommend this to those of you who are looking for a premium 5G handset.
