Mediatek’s finest premium 5G chip has a lot to say

MediaTek has used the 6nm manufacturing process in the new Dimensity chipsets that they launched last month. The Dimensity 1200 appears to be a highly capable 5G chipset that has support for top-of-the-line specifications in terms of graphics, camera features, connectivity options, and more.

The Dimensity 1200 chipset has been designed for use in premium smartphones. Where the Dimensity 1200 impresses is with its 200MP camera support, display, audio, gaming enhancements, and AI capabilities.

The Dimensity 1200 packs a highly integrated 5G modem with MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave technology for big power savings. It supports every connectivity generation from 2G to 5G, in addition to supporting the latest connectivity features including 5G standalone and non-standalone architectures.

The Dimensity 1200 also comes with an octa-core CPU designed with an ultra-core Arm Cortex-A78 clocked up to 3GHz for extreme performance, three Arm Cortex-A78 super cores, and four Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. With a nine-core GPU and six-core MediaTek APU 3.0, the Dimensity 1200 delivers a new level of premium performance.

The Dimensity 1200 is MediaTek’s latest and most powerful flagship chipset so yes, of course, it comes with support for gaming. In fact, you get the MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0 which they say enhances the entire experience of mobile gaming. How they do this is by fine-tuning connectivity features and making them reliable than ever. It starts off with the new generation of wireless audio and Ray Traced graphics capabilities. Added to that are some improvements made to make the chipset more power-efficient and power-saving.

It comes with the Rapid Response Engine 3.0 which is meant to give a boost to the multitouch features, provide ultra-low latency with wireless audio, and also happens to be the world’s first 5G chipset with Bluetooth 5.2 andLC3 Encoding. To top it off, the Dimensity 1200 supports a whopping 168Hz refresh rate which has never been seen before in a MediaTek chipset. The best part is that it’s not just visible to gamers, but those who don’t want to use a dimensity 1200 powered smartphone for gaming purposes will still be able to observe the fresh change and the quick speeds while scrolling or using various applications.
