The Micromax In 1 has all the bells and whistles you’d expect at this price point
It appears that Micromax has come out with a wallet-friendly smartphone with a cool design and really good internal specs. What’s not to love? What I really liked about this new device from Micromax is that it now uses stock Android which means there’s no bloatware, no ads, and no other annoyances. It doesn’t even come with any pre-installed apps which is a relief.
This phone is definitely a handful at 8.99mm of thickness and a 6.67-inch screen. But, even though it comes with a hefty 5,000 mAh battery it doesn’t appear to be too bulky. The core is strong with a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset under the hood and comes with a decent 18W super-fast charging support. It comes with 6 gigs of RAM and 128GB storage (also available with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage).
The best part is the Micromax has guaranteed Android updates for two years and monthly security patches. The Micromax In 1 will run Android 10 out of the box and will receive an Android 11 update in May. Sounds good to me.
I quite like the look of this phone as well. It has a curious X pattern at the back of the phone which comes with a smooth metallic finish. On the camera front, it has a triple rear camera setup and a hole-punch cut out for the selfie camera. What’s interesting is that unlike most phones of this price range, it comes with night mode support in both its front and rear cameras. The MediaTek chipset inside supports good image optimization and seamless capturing of photos and videos. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back and the phone also supports face unlock.
To put it simply, it seems like a pretty phone with a unique design and top-notch internal specs at an affordable price.
