Is the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Worth the Hype?
For a smartphone that costs less than 40K, it sure does have flagship-level features
The OPPO Reno 5 Pro is for sure the most premium looking smartphone that you can get in this price range. This phone has been high marketed as a camera-centric phone and guess what, they weren’t kidding, it actually has a superb quad-camera setup that can possibly rival its OnePlus counterparts. The AI Highlight Boost video recording works beautifully well and the shots come out crisp and very clear even in the lowest of low lighting. The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G proves that there has been a huge leap in AI technology for smartphone cameras.
Speaking of the design, there is a matte frosted glass finish on the back which is really convenient because it doesn’t leave any scratches or smudges on the phone, making the phone look sleek and of premium quality. The sides have a curved design that feels smooth to the touch and at a respectable 6.5-inch size, it fits in one’s palm comfortably. At only 175g with a thickness of just 7.6mm, it is a super slim phone that can easily slip into your pocket and is comfortable to hold for a long time even while gaming. The display of the phone is full HD and the refresh rate is really smooth which means one can have an enjoyable experience while playing games or watching shows.
What adds a significant boost is the Dimensity 1000+ processor by MediaTek which is the first of its kind to launch in India via Oppo. The apps load really quickly and there are no lags whatsoever. In fact, this phone is actually quite perfect for those who like to play games on their devices. Apart from games, you can easily watch films and TV shows on its big 6.5-inch screen. This processor has pretty good benchmark scores which lets you do multitasking and background app refresh with ease.
Armed with a powerful quad-camera setup of 64MP, it can take crisp, clear, and vibrant shots with superb colour reproduction. It also comes with an Extra HD mode that will give you 108MP photos! Plus you get the AI enhancement features which is pretty cool and gives amazing looking shots in most lighting conditions.
It has a pretty good battery power of 4350 mAh and comes with 65W fast charging support that can charge up to 75% in only 15 mins flat. The only shortfall I would say lies in the audio department. It comes with a mono speaker setup instead of a stereo setup but that’s okay because the singular speaker is pretty loud.
Out of all these really amazing features, I could not find anything to rant about. No complaints here. The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is definitely worth the hype, I say.
