Is the Realme X7 Pro 5G overpriced?
For 30K, are all these features worth it?
Realme has released quite an interesting flagship smartphone in the Realme X7 Pro. I’ve prepared a list of its pros and cons below:
- It has a medium-sized AMOLED display which isn’t too big or too small to hold, at 6.5 inches.
- The refresh rate ranges from 60Hz to 120Hz along with amazing touch responsiveness.
- It has a battery of 4,5000 mAh which is great if you’re someone who watches a lot of films or plays a lot of mobile games on your phone.
- Even if you run out of battery juice, you can make use of the 65W fast charging cable to get your phone going in no time.
- It has a good 64MP quad-camera setup which is pretty great during the day as well as at night.
- Armed with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor, the phone’s performance is up to par with other flagship smartphones in the same price range.
- It comes with 5G support which is what most flagship smartphones these days are coming equipped with.
The two strong points in this phone are its battery and processor. The Realme X7 Pro comes with a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 65S fast charging. If you set your display refresh rate to 120Hz, the battery will almost last you the entire day. But, if you set it to 60Hz, it will last you one and a half-days.
So, set your usage as per your preferences and convenience. The best part is that with the help of the 65W fast charger, it can go from 0% to 100% in just under 40 mins which is pretty cool. For example, if you woke up late one morning and have to rush to work, you can plug in your phone, take a shower, and have enough battery juice to last you till evening.
Under the hood, the Realme X7 Pro comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor. It comes with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. It’s pretty good at gaming, multitasking, switching between apps, and scrolling. As per the several YouTube videos I’ve binged on, this smartphone can easily handle everything from taking photos, checking your mail, editing videos, and other daily activities.
While it has a lot of new and interesting features that make it stand out, it has a few hiccups just like any other smartphone because, well, nothing’s perfect. However, I’ve found that these minor flaws don’t take away from the phone’s experience overall.
- It doesn’t come with a microSD slot for expanding storage. That being said, it does come with a hefty 128GB storage space which can fulfill most of your storage needs.
- It has a non-removable battery but at this point most smartphones do.
- Its shiny back cover tends to attract fingerprints and smudges which can be rather annoying. Thankfully there’s a simple solution to this: just put on a smartphone cover like everybody else.
- It’s a bit sad that smartphones these days are gearing away from including the headphone jack at the bottom (or top, I’m not judging) of the phone to save space. That being said, wireless earphones have changed my life for the better. It’s a good idea to invest in some.
Now it’s for you to decide if all these features make sense to you for the price of 30K. If you ask me, I’m all up for it because Realme has created a good flagship model with all the right features.
