Key Specs of the Realme X7 Max 5G
In terms of looks and specifications, at first glance the Realme X7 Max 5G appears to be a rebranded Realme GT 5G that debuted in China in March. Actually, the Realme X7 Max 5G is more of a renamed Realme GT Neo which first launched in China with the Dimensity 1200 SoC.
Currently, it seems like Realme has the most diverse lineup of smartphones with support for 5G. The Dimensity 1200 chip which the Realme X7 Max uses is comparable to the SD 870 chip. Looks like Realme has decided to go with MediaTek instead of Qualcomm as it has generally has, with most of its 5G smartphones using a Dimensity chipset.
Let’s look at some of its key features.
- The Realme X7 Max 5G sports a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) sAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
- Under the hood, there’s the octa-core MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 1200 5G chipset paired with ARM G77 MC9 GPU, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard UFS3.1 storage.
- The new Realme phone runs on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out-of-the-box and supports dual-SIM cards for 5G connectivity.
- The rear camera module that adopts a black colour finish carries a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It comes with a 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast charging support.
Realme’s new X7 Max 5G tries to fit into the mid-range where some really good phones such as the OnePlus Nord and Google Pixel 4a have earned their name. And it can do so only by undercutting the two phones. You have a good display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR, a good mediatek Dimensity processor, fairly good cameras, and a one-day-lasting battery. For Rs 26,999, I do not think the Realme X7 Max 5G leaves anything to complain about.
