MediaTek is in the news again and for the right reasons. MediaTek, the Taiwanese-based fabless semiconductor company seems to be on a launching spree, launching one chipset one after the other. After manufacturing a set of chipsets for the high-end or mid-range segment smartphones, MediaTek recently announced another chipset meant only for entry-level smartphones.

Users looking to buy entry-level smartphones with 5G connectivity, can cheer up as there is good news for them. MediaTek announced the launch of their much-awaited Dimensity 6020 recently just for the upcoming entry-level 5G smartphones. This newest chipset comes following the debut of the Dimensity 7200 earlier in February.

Dimensity 6020 boasts an Octa processor — 2X Arm Cortex-A76 clocking at a speed up to 2.2GHz and 6X Arm Cortex-A55 clocking at a speed up to 2GHz and is embedded on a TSMC 7nm process chip which makes the chipset quite a power-efficient one, helping to improve the battery life of the phone. The chipset promises to give quicker app performance to enhance a smartphone’s daily usage. The HyperEngine 3.0 Lite technology enables to have a quicker network response and a more dependable connection.
