Motorola Edge 40: Marking The Indian Debut Of MediaTek Dimensity 8020
Motorola is making waves again in the Indian smartphone market sphere. With so much speculations and rumours surrounding its latest launch, Motorola Edge 40, it has been finally launched in India. Motorola had already released it on Flipkart for people to get a sneak peek of what’s in store for them with this phone. The smartphone has been released as the successor to Motorola Edge 30. The Motorola Edge 40 is the brand’s latest offering in mid-range phones which are quite budget friendly. The Motorola fans are quite excited by this announcement. They were eagerly looking forward to the launch of this phone in India.
The official pre-orders of the phone will begin on May 23rd and will be on sale via Flipkart online and retail outlets from May 30th. The phone was previously unveiled in select in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific markets earlier this month.
The Indian market will only see the debut of the base Motorola Edge 40 variant for now. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 which also finally makes its debut in India.

Its leatherback finish weighs 171 grams and measures 158.43mm x 71.99mm x 7.58mm in size. Meanwhile, the matte acrylic finish Lunar Blue variant of the phone weighs 167 grams and measures 158.43mm x 71.99mm x 7.49mm in size.
Housing a large 4400 mAh battery, it has 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. It is available in a single storage configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage.
Camera lovers can rejoice too as Motorola Edge 40 boasts impressive camera enhancements. The dual rear camera includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support and a 13-megapixel sensor with an ultrawide lens for macro vision while the 32-megapixel front camera sensor is housed within the center-aligned hole-punch slot at the top of the display.
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor which finally makes its debut in India, it has an Octa-core CPU consisting of Arm Cortex-A78 and Arm Cortex-A55, and a powerful nine-core GPU which allows one just sit back and enjoy gaming experiences with HDR and reliably fast FPS in top titles.
The Motorola Edge 40 would offer some steal deal features for a phone expected to be priced at Rs. 29,999. It will be available in three colour variants- Coronet Blue, Jet Black, and Reseda Green.
