Vivo and budget smartphones go hand-in-hand

Vivo has come out with another new smartphone, the Vivo Y20G which is kind of like a sequel to the Vivo Y20. Even though the new Vivo features a similar design as the Vivo Y20, there are some notable changes in the former. This smartphone actually has some pretty impressive features considering the price range it falls under.

Vivo has launched the Y20G just days after releasing the Vivo Y51A and the Vivo Y20A. The Vivo Y20G has some pretty interesting specs even though it is priced below 15K which makes it quite an affordable smartphone for Indian users. The biggest change seen is the inclusion of a new MediaTek processor, that is the Helio G80 which is a much faster chipset and is handy for dealing with heavy-duty usage. This processor will let you play games with no lags or interruptions and you can multitask easily with no issues.

No phone is complete without a good and trusty camera that will capture your memories and store them for posterity. The Vivo Y20G packs a capable camera setup on both the front and rear which churns out good quality shots during the day and even in low light situations. It comes with a triple camera setup with the rear camera at 13MP and the selfie camera at 8MP.

Let’s get technical for a bit. This smartphone is available in two different variants: the first one will give you 4 gigs of RAM with 64 gigs of storage space and the other comes with 6 gigs of RAM and provides you with 128 gigs of storage. Unlike most smartphones in the budget segment which have the fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone, the sensor on the Vivo Y20G is placed on the side of the phone, right under the power button and switches on and off in a jiffy. Really convenient.

I won’t tell you to judge a book by its cover but you can certainly judge a phone by its battery. The Vivo Y20G comes with a dependable battery power of 5,000 mAh which is honestly more than sufficient even if you are a heavy smartphone user on the daily. What’s really awesome about this phone is that you’ll never run out of space because it has 128GB of expandable storage which for me is a key factor in choosing a smartphone. Plus like I mentioned before, it comes with the MediaTek Helio G80 processor which makes it an ideal device to play games on without any awkward lags or problems.

The Vivo Y20G is available in two different colours: Obsidian Black and Purist Blue. I feel that all these features plus the fact that you can get it at just Rs.14,990 for the 6GB variant make it an attractive investment. If you liked my summery above you can check it out on any of the following websites: Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq etc. Or, you can even hit your nearest smartphone store to see it for yourself. Happy shopping!
