Nothing’s CMF Sub-Brand Shakes Up the Smartphone Market with Customizable CMF Phone 1
In a move that’s sure to turn heads in the smartphone world, Nothing’s new sub-brand CMF has just unveiled its first device — the CMF Phone 1. And this isn’t your average handset. With a unique, customizable design and impressive specs, the CMF Phone 1 is poised to disrupt the mid-range market.
Customization is King
One of the standout features of the CMF Phone 1 is its ability to be personalized. The phone comes with a set of interchangeable back covers in four colors — Black, Orange, Light Green, and Blue. The Blue and Orange options even feature a stylish vegan leather finish.
But the customization doesn’t stop there. The CMF Phone 1 also has a rotating wheel on the bottom left corner that lets you attach accessories like a lanyard, stand, or card holder. There’s even a handy 2-in-1 tool that combines a SIM ejector and screwdriver to help you swap out the back covers.
It’s a level of personalization we haven’t really seen before in a smartphone. Usually you’re stuck with the color and design the manufacturer chooses. But with the CMF Phone 1, you can truly make it your own.
Flagship-Level Specs at a Mid-Range Price
The display is equally impressive — a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate. And with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, you’ll be able to see the screen clearly even in direct sunlight.
On the camera front, the CMF Phone 1 sports a 50MP main shooter with EIS, along with a 2MP portrait lens. For selfies, there’s a 16MP front-facing camera. While we’ll have to wait for full reviews to see how the cameras perform, the specs look promising.
Rounding out the package is a large 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 5W reverse wired charging. CMF claims the phone can reach 50% in just 20 minutes. There’s also a nifty Battery Health feature that’s designed to prolong the battery’s lifespan.
But the CMF Phone 1 isn’t just about looks. It’s also packing some serious hardware under the hood. The phone is powered by the flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, which should provide plenty of power for gaming, multitasking, and more.
You also get a generous 6GB or 8GB of RAM, depending on which model you choose. And with 128GB of storage, you’ll have ample space for all your apps, photos, and videos.
Pricing and Availability
The CMF Phone 1 will be available starting July 12th on CMF’s website, Flipkart, and select retail stores. The base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at Rs. 15,999, while the 8GB/128GB variant will set you back Rs. 17,999.
As an added bonus, the first 100 customers to buy the phone at a special pop-up event in Bengaluru on July 9th will receive a free pair of CMF Buds wireless earbuds. And for the first day of sales on July 12th, CMF is offering a Rs. 1,000 discount.
A Promising Start for CMF
With its customizable design, flagship-level specs, and aggressive pricing, the CMF Phone 1 is shaping up to be a very compelling option in the mid-range smartphone market. It’s a bold debut for Nothing’s new sub-brand, and it will be exciting to see how it fares against the competition. The Realme P1, Moto G54, and Redmi Note 13 Pro are some of the key rivals the CMF Phone 1 will be facing. We’ll have to wait for full reviews to see how the phones stack up in terms of performance, battery life, cameras, and more. But on paper at least, the CMF Phone 1 looks like it could be a real contender.
If you’re in the market for a new smartphone and want something that’s a little different from the norm, the CMF Phone 1 is definitely worth keeping an eye on. With its unique customization options and impressive specs, it could be the start of something big for Nothing’s CMF sub-brand.
