Recently, Oneplus has launched the second smartphone in the Onplus Nord CE series, the Oneplus Nord CE 2. This smartphone has been loved by all its users since the launch, but I have heard a lot of people comparing it with the Oneplus Nord CE 1 smartphone. As someone who has used both these devices in the past, I think I can give a good comparison between Oneplus Nord CE1 and Oneplus Nord CE 2.

Looks — Talking about the looks first, Oneplus Nord CE 1 has a typical Oneplus look, with a plumpy camera bump along with slightly curved sides. Oneplus Nord CE2 on the other hand has a completely different and unique look. I personally loved the Oneplus Nord CE 2 look but this preference depends on individual perspective. However, I also feel the Oneplus Nord CE 2’s build quality is also better than Oneplus Nord CE 1.

Display — Oneplus Nord CE 1 has a fluid AMOLED display with 90 Hz refresh rates. Oneplus Nord CE 2 has an HDR 10+ display that also comes with 90Hz refresh rates. If we talk about user experience, I can tell you that the touch and feedback of Oneplus Nord CE 2 are on another level and is unmatchable.

Processor — The biggest difference comes here, with the processor. Oneplus Nord CE 1 had a snapdragon 750G processor, and I felt some performance lags in the smartphone. But with Oneplus Nord CE 2, Oneplus made the right choice of going with the Mediatek Dimensity 900 5G processor. This processor provides a better experience in gaming, multimedia, and also multitasking.

Camera — Both of these have the same camera specification with a 64MP primary camera in a triple camera setup at the rear end, along with a 16MP single front camera. The only difference is that Oneplus Nord CE 2 is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps, whereas Oneplus Nord CE 1 cannot.

Battery — Oneplus Nord CE1 and CE2 both have a 4500mAh battery, but Oneplus Nord CE1 has a 30W charger and the Oneplus Nord CE 2 has a 65W charger. Also, because of the Mediatek processor’s efficiency, Oneplus Nord CE 2 can last much longer, even for more than a day.
