Oppo A16K — A Good Option in the Budget Segment?
Oppo has been in the race to offer the most good looking phones along with being powerful. The increase in the demand of budget segment smartphones have seen a huge rise in the past couple of years and Oppo has been on the top of the list of brands meeting the supply point of this demand.
In the pursuit of doing the same, Oppo has launched yet another budget segment smartphone namely, Oppo A16K.
In terms of the specs of the phone, Oppo A16K packs a 6.52-inch HD+ (1,600x720 pixels) IPS LCD display with support for 60Hz refresh rate, and a pixel density of 269 pixels per inch (ppi). This is a pretty good screen size I would say. Not too big, nor too small therefore a comfortable size for longer use of the phone. it is generated by the octa-core Mediatek Helio G35 SoC with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It is also mentioned that Users can expand the storage up to 256GB with the help of a microSD card. With the addition of the Mediatek Helio G35 chipset, users can expect a good overall performance of the phone including gaming. While the phone will perform well in normal games, one cannot expect the same in terms of demanding games since MediaTek Helio G35 is an entry-level gaming chipset. The overall operational experience of the device is taken care of by an Octa-core Cortex A53 processor layout running at a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz. Moreover, the brand has also provided a PowerVR GE8320 GPU to take care of the graphical requirements.
For the camera setup, the rear side of the device is loaded with a single camera setup, comprising a 13MP f/2.2 Primary Camera. The Device also consists of Autofocus, LED Flash, Touch to Focus, Exposure Compensation, HDR mode, Continuous Shooting and Digital Zoom which is included in some of the main functionalities of the device. The front side of the phone, there is a 5MP Selfie Shooter to capture amazing self-portraits.
In terms of the battery, the OPPO device gets powered by a 4230mAh non-removable Li-ion type battery, which is also compatible with the Fast Charging system. The overall set of features of the phone is pretty decent although I think the brand could have done better in terms of adding a bigger battery to the phone.
Oppo A16K is a good addition to the budget segment and comes as a good option for anyone looking for a powerful and also decently priced smartphone in the pocket-friendly segment.
