Realme 8s 5G: First Impressions

Seems like Realme has added another good looking 5G smartphone to its kitty this year.

Realme India has refreshed its Realme 8 series with the new Realme 8s 5G. The phone comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, triple rear cameras, and a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies.

At first glance it seems like quite a nice phone to me because its inner and outer features seem in line with the price it’s gonna sell at.

In terms of design, the smartphone takes inspiration from the existing Realme 8 lineup and comes in two colour options. This phone gets a 6.5-inch display that supports HD+ resolution at 720x1600 pixels. The screen comes with a punch hole design and offers pixel density of 270 PPI.

Realme 8s 5G comes equipped with a triple rear camera that comprises 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it comes with a 16MP selfie camera that also supports video calls.

The rear cameras come inside a square-shaped module, and the front camera comes inside the hole-punch cutout at the top left corner. As the name suggests, the Realme 8s 5G will sit with the existing Realme 8, Realme 8 5G, and Realme 8 Pro.

The Realme 8s 5G uses the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, which gets coupled with 6GB RAM and it offers 128GB internal storage.

The phone gets backed up with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via USB Type C port. Other features on the phone are side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock and headphone jack for music streaming.
