Redmi A1 Plus has launched in India a few months ago silently, and this smartphone belongs to the entry-level segment of smartphones. Here are the main pros and cons of this device in my opinion.

Pros

Screen & Build- The smartphone comes in Light Blue and Black. The Xiaomi Redmi A1 Plus’s 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen has a standard 60Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. The smartphone’s display panel has a screen-to-body ratio of 81.4% and a 269PPI pixel density. I think it will perform better than its competitors in this price range because of the bright display. Surprisingly good display quality is present.

Performance- The A1 Plus’s internals are powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Helio A22 CPU. It has Arm Cortex-A53 processors that can run at a maximum speed of 2.0 GHz. The smartphone processor comes with an IMG PowerVR GPU. It contains four cores for processing. Android 12 and MIUI 12 are pre-installed on the smartphone. The performance is smooth and fast.

Camera — The device has two cameras set up in a dual arrangement for imaging. In addition to an 8MP primary camera, the smartphone also features a 0.3MP depth camera. The device has a front-facing 5MP camera. Given the price, the camera setup sounds good to me. In reality, this camera setup works better than most others in this price range.

Battery- The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery, which is more than sufficient to keep it running for a long period. The battery lasts longer because both the screen and the Mediatek chipset are highly efficient.

Connectivity and Others- Regarding network quality, this smartphone has a dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, and 4G VoLTE, among other intriguing features. Additionally, it includes a built-in fingerprint sensor, something the Redmi A1 smartphone did not.

Price — The best feature of this smartphone is its price. I feel this smartphone’s Rs 7,000 price tag is its biggest USP. No other brand is providing a durable smartphone in this range.

Cons

Memory — I feel the memory specs of the smartphone could have been better. Redmi A1 Plus comes with two RAM variants (2GB and 3GB). I feel 2GB is too less, they should have had a choice between 3GB and 4 GB. Also, the 32GB internal storage space is too less.

As we can see, even for such a nominal price tag, the smartphone does not carry a lot of cons. I feel this smartphone is worth the money. Comment down your opinions.
