Redmi Note 12 Pro — My Review!
Redmi Note 12 Pro smartphone was launched very recently in India, and I see everyone talking about this smartphone. My brother had recently bought this device, so I decided that I will use this smartphone for 2 days and write a blog on it. And guess what? This is exactly what I did. Here is everything that I found about this smartphone -
Design — The smartphone has a matte finish and a polycarbonate back. The design is pretty similar to other Redmi smartphones. At the back, the camera island is glossy and looks good. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G has Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the display and IP53 dust and water resistance. The phone’s microphone, IR blaster, and 3.5mm audio connector are all located on the top edge. Another microphone, a USB-C connector, and a speaker grille are located on the other side.
Display — The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G’s display is one of its advantages. The bottom bezel of the 6.67-inch AMOLED display is a little thick, while the other three sides have narrow bezels and a punch-hole chin. Options for refresh rates range from 60Hz to 120Hz on the Note 12 5G display. On YouTube, Widevine L1 is supported, however HDR is not. The display gives a decent viewing experience overall and in direct sunlight as well as producing realistic colours. The majority of apps operated in 120Hz mode, with the exception of a few video and camera apps, which had their refresh rate lowered to 60Hz.
Performance — Additionally, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC processor powers the Redmi Note 12 Pro. With two speed Cortex-A78 cores clocked up to 2.6GHz and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked up to 2.0GHz, the chipset is built using a 6nm production technology. It has an Android 12 operating system running MIUI 13 with a November 2022 security patch. Xiaomi claims to update it to Android 13 in the future.
Camera — The Redmi Note 12 Pro’s back camera’s biggest draw is its 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor. A 2-megapixel macro camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera are also part of the arrangement. Selfies are taken with the front-facing 16-megapixel camera. The camera is of decent quality. The main back camera performs admirably. While the ultra-wide camera is likewise passable, the macro camera performs poorly. Unexpectedly, the front camera is rather great.
Battery — The Redmi Note 12 Pro has a sizable 5,000mAh battery, much like the majority of contemporary smartphones. It features 67W quick charging. The Dimensity 1080 chipset’s power-saving features work nicely with the battery backup.
