Samsung Galaxy F22: First Impressions

After literal weeks of leaks and rumours, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy F22 in India. The phone seems to be a budget segment device, which has been made available for purchase through Flipkart and of course, Samsung online store.

The device offers an interesting spec sheet, and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. Apart from this, its main features are a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel main sensor.

The phone also offers a big battery, and a fast display to help it compete against other phones in the segment. It offers an interesting design, with a water drop-style notch at the front, and a square-shaped camera module at the back.

Galaxy F22 offers a big 6,000 mAh battery which offers support for up to 25W fast charging. However, the phone only comes with a 15W USB-C fast charger in the box. The battery pack on the device promises 130 hours of music playback, 40 hours of talk time, 25 hours of video playback and 24 hours of internet usage time.

Keeping the phone ticking along is an octa-core Mediatek Helio G80 processor which the company claims offers optimised performance, smooth multitasking and reduced power consumption while browsing and using multiple apps.

Galaxy F22 supports Android 11 and One UI 3.1 out of the box. The smartphone also supports Samsung Pay Mini. Galaxy F22 also features Dolby Atmos support and offers excellent audio and cinematic viewing experience.
