Should You Buy the Infinix Hot 10S?
Infinix Hot 10S has become the company’s first offering to come with Android 11 straight out of the box. The skin on top is XOS 7.6 and is a step in the right direction. The UI is much cleaner, and there aren’t half any pre-installed games.
There are still some pre-loaded apps though, most of them are Infinix’s own and hence uninstallable. The UI fluidity and animation smoothness are wonderful, thanks majorly to the 90Hz refresh screen. The Helio G85 chipset is really good at optimization and works well with the software.
A good display either makes or breaks a smartphone. The Infinix Hot 10S comes with a 6.82-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1640 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20.5:9. Also, it measures 171.50 x 77.50 x 9.20mm (height x width x thickness).
It comes with a 6,000 mAh battery, which seems to slowly turn into the norm for this segment. As you’d expect, it delivers great battery life. Even if you use the phone at 90Hz, you’ll still get over 8 Hours of S.o.T stretched over 2 days of usage. Even with the heaviest of use cases, this phone will easily power through a day, plus there’s a dedicated Power Marathon mode which can help you squeeze out even more battery life, in case the need arises.
It has a “triple” rear camera. There is a 48MP Samsung sensor, which takes 12MP pixel-binned photos by default. Then there is a depth sensor and an AI lens. The selfie camera here is an 8MP one. There are dedicated LED flashes for the selfie camera as well, so low-light selfie performance here is probably best in class. You also get HDR support and it can maintain a bright background most of the time.
The Infinix Hot 10S has everything that the Infinix Hot 10 had, and more. The spec sheet itself makes it stand out from everything else, and although not perfect by any standards, this is a phone that’ll definitely make other brands think twice before launching another underwhelming phone under 10K, as there’s nothing better for the consumers to buy anyway.
The huge battery, the android 11 software, the camera specs and the mediatek gaming processor make it complete.
