Smartphone Review: Tecno Camon 17

India gets many smartphones in the price bracket between Rs 10,000–15,000, and that’s why it’s hard to recommend any single handset in this price range. But I would recommend the Tecno Camon 17 for buyers who are seeking a solid smartphone with a good performance, feature-rich custom skin, a solid sturdy phone, and promising battery life.

Coming to the specs, the Tecno Camon 17 comes with a Quadruple rear camera setup, where the primary lens is a 64MP resolution sensor. There are two 2MP resolutions, where one is a macro lens, and the other is a depth sensor. Notably, the rear camera array is supported by a quad flash setup and the processing is handled by the helio G85 chip.

Gone are the days when we used to complain about poor performance. These days a good processor is quite common on smartphones! And Tecno’s Camon 17 is laced with best in class MediaTek Helio G85 processor which is made for gaming at an affordable price point.

This chipset has been used by many smartphone makers. I have seen many phones having this chipset and it’s safe to say one won’t experience any issues as far as the performance is considered. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage, which storage expansion support.

I have noticed that tecno as a brand tends to cater to the budget and mid-range section of smartphones and it does that pretty well. Even in the case of the Tecno Camon 17, all the specs along with the design of the phone are something you can find even in the upper mid range category in other brands.
