Tecno’s launches seem to be at a never-ending speed. Known for equipping its smartphones with the best features, the mobile phone giant is back in the news for launching its famous lineup of smartphones recently.
Tecno was founded as Tecno Telecom Limited in 2006 but later changed its name to Transsion Holdings with Tecno Mobile as one of its subsidiaries. Having established its foothold in Africa and the Middle East, Tecno came to India in 2017 and launched its presence in the Indian market with its ‘Made for India’ smartphones: the ‘i’ series.
Tecno, the Chinese smartphone company has been in the Indian smartphone market for quite some time now. Taking baby steps, the brand has been slowly and gradually trying to build its demand in the Indian smartphone market. The brand is keen on building its presence with its variety of smartphones launched now.
The Tecno Camon series was recently unveiled by the brand last month. The lineup includes Tecno Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro 5G, and Camon 20 Premier 5G comprising MediaTek chipsets, an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and Android 13 OS out of the box.
All three handsets are said to be equipped with 5,000 mAh batteries. The pricing has been kept reasonable enough with the new Camon 20 series’ price starting at Rs 14,999.
The Tecno Camon 20 premier comes with MediaTek Dimensity 8050 processor which is known to be a new mid-range processor. The Octa-core CPU with four performance Arm Cortex-A78 processors with clocking speeds up to 3.0GHz, and a powerful nine-core GPU, make way for an awesome gaming experience with power efficiency boost and HDR and fast FPS in top titles.
While the other two models have already been released recently, Tecno Camon 20 Premier is all set to roll out at the end of June and is expected to have features just like the International version -
Tecno Camon 20 Premier is expected to be housing a battery of 5000 mAh with 45W fast charging. It would come with the Super -power saving mode for about 10 hours longer. Offering AI Smart Charge would help in extending battery life.
Talking about the camera section, it is expected to be boasting triple camera sensors, with a 50MP primary RGBW sensor with 6P+1G lens, PDAF, f/1.77 aperture, a 108MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and a 2MP portrait sensor. The 32MP high-definition camera reveals beauty in stunning details and ensures ultra-clear selfies. It is said that both the ultra wide 108 MP camera and the 50 MP rear Primary camera support 4K video shooting.
The Tecno Camon 20 Premier is speculated to be sporting the Camon puzzle deconstructionist Puzzle design that comprises geometric aesthetics and flaunts avant-garde fashion. The phone can be seen as a fashion icon. With the meeting of impeccable design and exquisite craftsmanship, the back cover would come in lychee pattern leather while the camera module would have the classic ceramic techniques.
Promising immersive all-slim bezel design, Tecno Camon 20 Premier as expected would be flaunting a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate and Cinema Grade P3, offering a full-path wide colour gamut.

All in all, Tecno fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5 G-enabled smartphone which is expected to be priced at Rs. 36,999. The phone ships ample storage with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB Premier storage.
