Vivo Launches the Latest Y-series Smartphone!
Vivo has been a well-known smartphone brand for many years now and the brand is especially known for offering decent and powerful budget as well as mid-range smartphones. Vivo has come up with another addition to the budget segment with the launch of the Vivo Y21A smartphone. Vivo once again brings a new budget smartphone in India under the Y-series. The brand has debuted the Y21A, which is priced under Rs 15,000 in India. To be price, the brand has set the same at Rs.13,990 for the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. One can see the availability of the phone through the Vivo India e-Store and partner retail stores. Available in two colours — Diamond Glow and Midnight Blue.
Vivo Y21A consists of a 6.51-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display comes with a water-drop notch at the top for the front camera. Comes with the MediaTek Helio P22 under the hood with up to 4GB of RAM. It comes paired with 1GB virtual RAM support that is used from the device’s 64GB internal storage. There is no question that the brand could have certainly gone for a better MediaTek Helio G series chipset rather than the Helio P22. For the price of 13K, Vivo could have gone with the Helio G70 to give the phone a gaming edge as well to be able to compete with its rivals better in terms of the specs and also performance. But without any sort of comparison, the Mediatek Helio P22 is definitely a good chipset in itself. The MediaTek Helio P22 tags with some amazing features for Smarter Imaging, Reliable Connectivity, and revolutionary AI to transform what you can do with your smartphone. MediaTek Helio P22 provides high-end features to mid-tier devices where everyone can experience premium features in their smartphones at a very affordable price.
In the camera section, It is reared with a 13MP main camera sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and a 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera section comes with an 8MP front camera sensor. Also, it is run with Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.1 out of the box.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Last but not least it also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock for biometric authentication.
What do you think of this launch by the brand? Worth buying for the set price or are there better phones to give a strong competition to the Vivo Y21A?
