Vivo Y02 was launched in the end days of November 2022, and it was around the same time that I laid my hands on this smartphone. The Vivo Y02 is an entry-level device that has been launched by Vivo as part of its Y series. I used the smartphone for a week or so, before giving it to my mom. With my experience, here is a list of pros and cons that I experienced when I used the Vivo Y02.

Pros

  1. The price of this smartphone is its best feature. The cost of the Vivo Y02 is Rs 9,000. With such a low cost, this smartphone is accessible to as many people as possible from all socioeconomic backgrounds. The biggest positive, in my opinion, is that anyone can purchase such a high-quality smartphone.
  2. This smartphone has a Mediatek Helio processor inside. Although I am unsure of the precise processor, I do know that it is an octa-core with a 2.0GHz top clock speed. In this price range, Mediatek Helio CPUs are frequently utilized, and they consistently deliver good performance. In this case, too, I believe picking a Helio chipset was the appropriate move.
  3. One of the aspects of this smartphone that receives the least attention is the display. The screen is 6.51 inches in size, has an IPS LCD HD+ screen, and has a quick refresh rate. The device’s touch sensitivity is very good.
  4. The Vivo Y02 is rated rather high in terms of aesthetics as well because of its 8mm-thick design and light weight of only 182 grams. Due to its tiny chin and water-drop notch, the smartphone has a premium feel in the hand and a high STB ratio.
  5. Another good thing I noticed in this smartphone is the audio quality. The speakers of the Vivo Y02 smartphone are loud and clear, which is something you do not see in this price range.
  6. The 5000mAh battery of the smartphone lasts pretty long, and the smartphone also charges quickly with 10W fast charging support.

Cons

  1. The quality of the rearview camera (8MP) could have been a little bit higher. It takes nice images during the day, but the quality and sharpness are inadequate at night.

This is how I evaluated the Vivo Y02. This smartphone is still a good device despite its minor drawbacks because of its superior performance, battery life, and speed compared to most other smartphones in its price range.
