This new smartphone by Vivo is being promoted by Sara Ali Khan. It hasn’t gone on sale yet but from what I can gather from its reviews online, the Vivo Y73 seems like a solid budget smartphone. The Vivo Y73 comes with all the features that make it a perfect all-round performance on an entry-level budget.

The design of the mediatek powered Vivo Y73 is quite nice actually. It features a thin-bezel display which adds to the charm of the device. Plus the display isn’t too huge like most phones these days.

It comes with a good amount of RAM and a sizable battery which is quite good for gaming purposes. Add to that a 64MP triple cam setup and a huge battery, that makes it worthy of attention. On top of that, it comes with Android 11 and a really good triple cam setup.

Vivo Y73 has entered the budget smartphone world with a mediatek gaming chip. With the provided spec-sheet, it hardly shows any sign of lack, hence is a perfect option overall. I hope Vivo prices it below 20K.

Unlike its predecessor Vivo Y72 and sibling, Vivo Y73s that are currently available in Thailand and China, the new Vivo Y73 does not include 5G support.

The specifications in detail:

  • The Vivo Y73 sports a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display which also has an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and a waterdrop notch for the single selfie camera.
  • In the processor dept, it packs the octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 chipset paired with Mali-G76 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Expandable to 3GB.
  • Its triple rear camera module comes with a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, there’s a 16-megapixel camera.
  • Other features: include 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5, and a 3.5mm headphone. It carries a 4,000 mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.
