What’s new about the Realme 8s 5G?

5G smartphones have infiltrated the mid-range and budget segment this year like never before and the Realme 8s 5G is the latest entrant with its spiffy specs and cool features.

The Realme 8s 5G flaunts a 6.52-inch display that offers HD+ screen resolution at 720x1600 pixels with a pixel density of 270 PPI. The screen gets a notch where you have the front camera. The 20:9 aspect ratio display offers a larger viewing area and screen to body ratio upwards of 83 percent.

The power button and the volume rocker are on the right side of the phone. The main security features are side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock through the selfie camera.

Realme 8s 5G comes powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset which brings 5G support to the device. You get it with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 256GB. The phone runs on a Realme UI version built over the Android 11 operating system.

The imaging duties on the 8s 5G are handled by a triple rear camera that consists of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP sensor. On the front, the phone has a 16MP selfie camera that supports video recording as well as video calls.

Realme 8s 5G gets backed up with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via USB Type C port. For connectivity, the phone has features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G, 4G VoLTE, USB OTG, and GPS with GLONASS.
